KALVIN R. THOMPSON

Pastor Kalvin Russell Thompson is a native of Nassau County, Florida and he grew up on a 5-acre farm in Kings Ferry on Lessie Road just outside of Hilliard. He graduated in the top of his class at Hilliard High School and was awarded the honor of salutatorian. He enjoyed playing his trumpet in the band, running track and playing basketball for the Hilliard Flashes.

Pastor Thompson went on to continue his education in Gainesville at the University of Florida on a 4-year academic scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science (CIS) through the prestigious College of Business. From there he went on to work in information technology (IT) at the University of Florida, American Airlines, and as an IT development director for AMFM Corporation in Dallas, Texas.

During his travels, he and his wife also graduated from RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked with several large churches and ministries in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Arlington and Fort Worth, Texas.

In 2003 Pastor Thompson and his family returned to Florida, the origin of where he received the touch of God on his heart to tell others about Jesus. His family is a family committed to teaching and helping others come to know Jesus and open their hearts to the Lord as both their Savior and Friend.

Pastor Thompson truly has a heart for people and this dynamic man of God will show you how to live for God and live above the circumstances of life. His mission is to encourage believers, win the lost, and teach us all how to become and remain a positive impact in our communities.

In this world where there can be many ups and downs one thing remains certain and that is that Jesus Christ is unchanging. This is our message and our call is to share that Jesus Christ is unchanged and BECAUSE HE IS, we can become rooted in the firm foundation of the Lord.
